All I Need

By Lydia Royce

All I Need

A life of total abandon

Not faltering

Not wavering

Under the weight of the world’s cares

A life

In the presence of eternity

Abandoned to the love of God.

Either lean on money’s stability

Or trust the Spirit’s fluidity

One giving a sense of safe comfort – a delusion.

The other, a life of diverse proportions – an

adventure.

A life in my control

safe, secure, stable

with the comfort, courage and assurance

of money, friends and investments

held dearly and closely –

A loss

Or

A life in the unknown

Within the embrace of your love

In the quiet of your being

Immersed in your love

Surrounded by you –

The treasure

Lord , you are my Shepherd,

I have all that I need.
