I am God’s beloved daughter/son

Perhaps you feel – of course I know this.
May I invite you to still listen to God saying these words
to you …
You are God’s beloved daughter/son
He is delighted in you.
Listen to His voice.
He is delighted in you.
You may think – Ah, that can’t be true.
There’s so much I could have done,
but I have not.
Pause – listen – He is delighted in you.
You are God’s beloved child.
He sings over you.
You left your father’s household to bear witness
To your Lord and your God.
He sings over you.
You are God’s beloved child.
He loves you more,
much more than God’s work.
Perhaps you are wondering –
my hands are exhausted, my shoulders ache,
my heart is heavy,
with the to-dos that never end.
Pause, Reflect, Receive.
Look at Him looking at you with love
– you are His first love.
Pause, Reflect, Receive
The Triune God loves you, your family, and your children,
more than the work you are called to do.
You are His beloveds.
